Life is too short to wake up with regrets. Is it ever a positive thing? The definition of regret: something sad, disappointing that has already happened. So it is
looking back, reacting to something that has happened in the past.
You can turn your regrets into something positive. The fact that you have regrets means that you have thought about what has already happened and had a reaction to the past. This negative feeling can spurn you on to act in a different way the next time you are in a similar situation.

The mere fact that you feel regret means you have analysed what has happened and how it made you feel. This is a positive step in moving forwards. The important part comes now: what do you do with your regret? We hope that you do not wish to feel regret in the future and act/ handle / say things in a different manner that has a more positive outcome for you. You could also make amends for your actions or words that caused your regrets and turn the situation around. Ask for forgiveness, approach the person again and explain why you acted in a certain way.
So as time goes this would be a good new approach. Brimming with new energy and ready to face new challenges and opportunities take stock of your life and be mindful with open eyes. Make a concerted effort to re-visit the regrets you've had and try to not get into the same situations again. Take action to learn from your regrets positively!
