“Staring at the blank page before you, open up the dirty window, let the sun illuminate the words that you cannot find. Reaching for something in the distance, so close you can almost taste it, release your inhibitions, feel the rain on your skin. No one else can feel it for you, only you can let it in, no one else, no one else can speak the words on your lips, drench yourself in words unspoken, live your life with arms wide open, today is where your book begins, the rest is still unwritten…”

This year has brought new beginnings into my life. New friendships and love, new opportunities and challenges, soon, I will be starting my new job doing something a little different to what I’ve been doing the past five years. How did I get here? Well… let me tell you a short story…

About a year ago, my actions and thoughts were driven by fear and negativity. First - I had come out of a really bad, almost 2-year relationship, and second -  I received a Final Warning, with no prior warnings before that. With that I was scared I wouldn’t find anyone new, and at work I was scared to make more mistakes, to the point I was making even more, and I felt like my world was spiralling out of control, until I spoke to one of my managers to tell them how I was feeling, and they decided to send me to, who is now, my amazing life coach, Anita. From there, and through more sessions and courses, things turned around dramatically. My power of now has changed from Fear and Negativity, to what is now Strength and Determination. Through Lifeworx, I was able to turn something negative into something positive.

I speak from experience when I say that to find your power of now, one needs to have confidence in themselves. Believe that you can do and achieve whatever you want to out of life. I know sometimes for some people it’s not easy. It wasn’t easy for me either, but then you just gotta “Fake it till you make it”. In other words, if you feel you aren’t confident enough, act as though you are, to the point where you actually become that confident person. It also comes down to the basic philosophy of Lifeworx, which is Think, Feel, and Act. So, Think about what you want to achieve, your short and long-term goals. Feel it, feel that drive that’s going to motivate you to achieve these goals. Then Act. Take the steps necessary, and you can start with baby steps, to work towards achieving your goal.
