What do you do to feed your soul, when you are not earning a living?
It is so important in our fast-paced modern lifestyle to have some downtime or fun. To do something you enjoy, that energises you, something you are passionate about that totally absorbs you and your energy. Something that will balance out your otherwise stressful life.
So how do you find that something that speaks to you/ floats your boat?? It is most probably something you were exposed to growing up. It could also be an interest you have had or you have come across. It could be playing a musical instrument, playing a sport, hiking or painting.
Have you ever met a sporty kid that doesn't have sporty parents? There certainly are exceptions, but generally, we grow passionate about things we get exposed to as children.
I have just spent 4 glorious days riding my bike from Joburg down to Durban with a group of 30 people. I do know how to drive and yes, I could have taken a car- but I like to ride my bike. I have ridden my bike ever since I can remember- to school, to buy weekend treats and certainly through magnificent parts of SA- off road and on road. It gets me into action, I get to hang out with other like- minded people and we get to spend the days outside in all sorts of weather.
Have you found your passion yet? What do you do to take your mind off things in your spare time? What have you always been meaning to do?
Why don't you do some soul searching and find your stress release or your passion? Do it now, take some action and enrich your life with purpose and passion.
